Artist Joanna Fowles coaxes colour from nature, foraging barks, roots, and foliage local to her studio to create natural colour palettes. The limited-edition series, 'Fragments,' presents small textile collages from her extensive collection of hand-dyed fabrics. Each textile fragment is a unique piece intended as a contemplative reflection on nature.

Composition: graphite pencil on organic hand-frayed canvas using fragments of organic cotton hand-dyed with turmeric root, madder root, iron salt, and alum salt. Hand stitched with a limited edition motif in the bottom right corner with eucalyptus hand-dyed wool.
